Dar es Salaam. The Muslimah Boss Network (MBN) has marked five years since its establishment through the climax of its Annual Summit, held in Dar es Salaam, which brought together Muslim women from various sectors within and outside Tanzania.

The summit gathered female leaders, entrepreneurs, professionals, creatives, and social development stakeholders with the aim of discussing the role of Muslim women in leadership, strengthening collaboration among women, and highlighting their contribution to social and economic development.

Speaking during the event, one of the network’s founders said that MBN has become an important platform for connecting and empowering Muslim women to recognize their potential, build leadership confidence, and actively participate in development activities without compromising Islamic values and principles.

“Five years is not a small milestone. We have witnessed significant transformation among our members, from entrepreneurship and education to community leadership. Our goal has been to help Muslim women stand firm, recognize their worth, and use their talents for the benefit of society,” she said.

In addition to professional panel discussions, participants had the opportunity to attend various sessions on inclusive leadership, women’s mental health, financial resilience, and how to utilize digital platforms to grow their businesses and careers.

The summit also provided a platform for participants to exchange ideas, learn from women who have made remarkable progress in different fields, and build new networks of collaboration that will drive long-term development.

Following the success of the five-year milestone, MBN’s leadership announced plans to expand the scope of its activities by introducing special leadership programs for young women, entrepreneurship training, and increasing the participation of women from rural areas and other East African countries.

The event concluded with the presentation of certificates recognizing the contributions of several women who have played a significant role in advancing the empowerment of Muslim women, as an encouragement for others to continue being agents of positive change in society.
